Certified Naturally Grown vegetable farm growing heirloom and specialty produce in Stockbridge, GA.
Pinewood Springs Farm is a 43-acre vegetable farm in Rockdale County, Georgia, owned by Jeff Anthony and Rodney Gabriel. The pair began farming as a hobby in 2013 at a community garden in North DeKalb, then expanded to a commercial operation before establishing the Stockbridge farm in 2016. The farm grows a wide range of produce including tomatoes, peppers, okra, kale, collards, melons, strawberries, specialty herbs, and heirloom varieties. Produce is available at Atlanta-area farmers markets and through a pre-order shop, and the farm also supplies a number of metro Atlanta restaurants. Learn more on their About Page.
Pinewood Springs Farm holds Certified Naturally Grown (CNG) status, a peer-reviewed, farmer-to-farmer certification based on the USDA National Organic Program standard. CNG farmers do not use synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, or GMOs. The farm uses organic growing techniques focused on nutrient management and crop rotation to build long-term soil health. It follows an integrated approach to weed, disease, and pest management without synthetic inputs. The farm sources heirloom seeds and practices seed saving to promote genetic diversity, and does not plant genetically engineered seeds or plants.
