Mum Foods is a smokehouse and deli offering Central Texas barbecue, pastrami, deli sandwiches, soups, house-made bread, and sweets. We also provide farm-to-table catering for events of all sizes. Our pastrami was voted Best Pastrami in Texas by Texas Monthly's Daniel Vaughn, and we were selected for the inaugural Michelin Guide for Texas. You can find us at our brick-and-mortar deli (open Wednesday through Sunday until sold out) or at several local farmers markets each weekend. Barbecue can be pre-ordered for farmers market pickup, with the pre-order shop open Thursday through Saturday.

We source only humanely raised, certified Akaushi beef, selected for its superior marbling and flavor. All produce comes from Texas farmers and small producers in the Austin area. We make everything in-house, from the mustard to the bacon, and our scratch kitchen focuses on using, preserving, and fermenting high-quality ingredients.
