Woman-owned apiary and farm offering raw seasonal honey, pastured eggs, fresh produce, farm-to-table dinners, and honeybee tours.
Maui Bees is a woman-owned family farm and apiary in Kula, Hawaii, operating on the slopes of Haleakala. The farm produces two distinct seasonal raw honeys harvested twice a year: a mild, light-amber Summer Honey drawn largely from Wilelaiki blossoms, and a darker, butterscotch-noted Winter Honey collected primarily from Eucalyptus forests. Alongside honey, Maui Bees offers organically raised pastured eggs and garden-fresh produce at its on-farm stand. A commercial kitchen allows the farm to produce value-added foods, and farm-to-table dinners showcase ingredients grown on site. Guided hands-on honeybee tours and regenerative agriculture tours are available for visitors, along with an on-farm bee museum. Learn more on their About Page.
Maui Bees follows a stewardship model centered on regenerative farming. The farm uses biodynamic sprays and preparations, builds its own organic compost, and inoculates the soil with beneficial microbes. Cover crops and no-till mulches are used to build carbon in the soil. The honey is kept pure, unfiltered, and raw using a cold process that holds temperatures below room temperature throughout production. Eggs are pastured and organically raised. The farm describes its focus as caring for pollinators, soil, and surrounding ecosystems.
