LocalHawaiianProduce is a family farm on Oahu's North Shore, run by Farmer Dave Burlew, his mother Barbara (Farmer Babs), and Chef Stacey. Dave studied agriculture at UH Manoa and UH Hilo and tends an orchard on Kamehameha school's land in Punaluu as well as a five-acre growing compound in Mokuleia. The farm grows more than 40 varieties of vegetables, fruits, herbs, and flowers. Its core offering is a weekly produce bag containing 6 to 8 seasonal items, delivered on Fridays. Beyond the weekly bag, the farm offers pickles, hibiscus lemonade, hibiscus syrup, mamaki tea, Thai roselle hibiscus tea, and gift certificates.
LocalHawaiianProduce states that it does not use synthetic fertilizers, herbicides, or pesticides. The farm follows USDA organic produce standards, and its Mokuleia farm has an organic certification in progress. Orchard fruits and select produce are also sourced from other trusted local organic farmers.
