Grass-fed, grass-finished beef by the quarter, half, or whole cow from a Mabank, Texas ranch.
Lacy Fork Ranch raises 100% grass-fed, grass-finished Angus beef on approximately 150 acres of grazing pasture, with an additional 100 acres of hay pasture managed to control cattle nutrition from calf to processing. The herd, which started at around 30 Angus cows, has grown to over 100. Beef is sold by the pound, quarter cow, half cow, or whole cow, with customized processing available for half and whole packages. Steaks, ground beef, loins, T-bones, and filet mignon are among the cuts available. The ranch offers online ordering and pickup.
Lacy Fork Ranch raises cattle on open pastures with no confinement and feeds no grain. Alfalfa is added to the grass diet as a supplement throughout the year, and pregnant cows receive mineral supplements during gestation. Winter steers are given plant-based supplements, including beet pulp and cottonseed hulls, to maintain healthy weight until spring grass returns. Steers are typically processed at 20 to 22 months. The ranch uses no antibiotics, no artificial growth hormones, no preservatives, no additives, no GMOs, and no pesticides. Beef is dry aged for a minimum of 7 days and typically 14 days.
