Kumu Farms Country Market is a multi-island farm and farm market with roots going back to 1981, when it started as a small family farm on Molokai growing specialty produce for the local market. The operation now spans nearly 250 acres across Molokai and Maui. Its flagship product is the GMO-free Sunrise Papaya, grown in both certified organic and conventional forms. The Maui location, The Country Market, carries fresh produce grown on-site, including lettuces, kale, corn, eggplant, carrots, bananas, fennel, and culinary herbs. Alongside fresh produce, the market offers farm-made artisan products such as papaya jam, raw macadamia nut butter, raw Hawaiian tropical blossom honey, macadamia nuts, and Hawaiian spicy salt. Kumu Farms grows both organic and conventional produce across its Maui and Molokai operations. Its certified organic program is certified by Oregon Tilth. The Sunrise Papaya grown on Molokai is GMO-free and offered in both certified organic and conventionally grown varieties. The farm sells its products direct-to-consumer at its farm market locations, to private businesses, and to retail locations across Hawaii and the mainland. Subscription orders for papaya and pineapple boxes are available, with orders fulfilled on a recurring schedule of the customer's choosing.
