Overview
Locally owned grocery, CSA subscriptions, and Arizona-sourced produce, meat, dairy, and eggs.
Flagstaff CSA + Local Market is a locally owned grocer and Community Supported Agriculture program that began in 2002 as a Northern Arizona University student project. It operates a brick-and-mortar market stocked with Arizona-grown produce, meat, dairy, eggs, and pantry staples, open to any shopper without a membership. CSA subscribers receive weekly seasonal produce boxes with the option to customize contents, add on items from the full availability list, and choose between in-store pickup or home delivery. Online ordering runs on a set weekly window, and orders can be placed through the business's Local Food Marketplace portal. Learn more on their About Page.
Flagstaff CSA + Local Market sources from dozens of Arizona farmers, ranchers, and food producers. Featured suppliers include Blue Sky Organic Farm (Litchfield Park, certified organic produce), Crooked Sky (Phoenix, certified naturally grown produce), Get Fascinated Microgreens (Yucca, organic non-GMO microgreens), Golden Rule Dairy (Elfrida, raw milk), and Rafter S (Kingman, grass-fed and finished beef). Rosebird Farms, whose owner also serves as the business's logistics manager, supplies produce and cut flowers from Kingman. CSA boxes are described as connecting members to local farmers, the current season, and the land where food is grown, with the business framing the model as an alternative to conventional supply chains.
