Empower Farms

Empower Farms is a certified-organic vegetable and fruit farm founded in 2014 with a mission to create a working farm that also serves as a sanctuary for people with disabilities. The farm grows vegetables, fruit, and crops such as turmeric; operates a plant nursery; and keeps a flock of egg-laying chickens. It employs people with disabilities, referred to as Teammates, across all stages of planting, harvesting, and packaging. Customers can access the farm's produce through a seasonal CSA program offering weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly delivery boxes, as well as an à la carte online store. The vegetable season in South Florida runs from November through May, though the farm's diverse crops and fruit trees allow it to produce food year-round. Learn more on their About Page.
