Nonprofit CSA farm growing chemical-free fruits and vegetables year-round, with produce shares and a dedicated donation program.
Earthshare Gardens is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit and 1.5-acre organic vegetable farm that has been growing fruits and vegetables since 2005. It operates a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program offering weekly and bi-weekly produce shares across three 12-week seasons each year. Each share purchased generates an additional quantity of produce donated to local partner organizations serving community members in need. The farm was the first CSA program in Acadiana and, at founding, only the second in Louisiana. Earthshare Gardens also runs an Incubator Farm Program, supporting emerging local farm entrepreneurs with grow-ready garden space, healthy soils, water access, tools, and compost. Volunteers are central to its operation. Learn more on their About Page.
Earthshare Gardens grows using chemical-free, naturally grown methods and describes its production as organic and sustainable, a practice it embraced from its founding in 2005. The farm provides organic production space with healthy garden soils as part of its Incubator Farm Program. CSA working members contribute two hours of garden labor per share pickup, with tasks including planting, harvest, weeding, and tilling. A dedicated donation garden produces additional fresh vegetables for local soup kitchens and food pantries.
