Family-owned farm offering free-range eggs, backyard chickens, custom coops, fresh produce, and farm stays.
Dare 2 Dream Farms is a 40-acre family-owned homesteading farm in Lompoc, California, operating since 2009. Founded by Jeremy and Megan Raff, the farm grew out of Jeremy's family land, originally purchased by his grandfather in 1970. The farm offers free-range eggs in a rainbow of colors, locally grown fruits and vegetables, backyard chickens, and custom-built chicken coops. Produce and eggs are available through a farm stand, a CSA produce subscription box, and a SNAP Online-eligible storefront via the GrownBy app. Visitors can book farm stays and immersive farm experiences on the property. Dare 2 Dream Farms donates vegetables weekly to Veggie Rescue and supports local food access through its SNAP/EBT-eligible purchasing program. Learn more on their About Page.
Dare 2 Dream Farms grows its crops in hand-formed beds that are free from herbicides, GMOs, and pesticides. The farm uses mycelium and chicken manure compost to support beneficial insects, fungi, and bacteria that release nutrients into the soil. Crops are rotated seasonally to enrich the soil and maintain sustainable farming practices. Laying hens are free-range, allowed to roam, scratch, peck, perch, and dust-bathe, and their diet includes seeds and insects found in the soil. Eggs are washed without harsh chemicals. The farm raises multiple breeds of hens and also keeps cows and mini-goats. WWOOFers assist with livestock care, garden bed cultivation, and harvesting. The farm keeps its service area local to maintain produce freshness.
