Connolly Ranch

Connolly Ranch cattle are born and raised on the ranch's open range pastures in a closed herd. No outside cattle are introduced except registered Black Angus bulls selected for quality and genetic diversity. The Black Angus herd is 100% grass-fed, grazing natural open-range grasses and receiving only salt-mineral blocks and locally grown alfalfa hay when needed. No growth hormones, implants, sub-therapeutic antibiotics, grain, or supplements containing animal by-products are used. Calves receive only non-antibiotic preventive vaccinations. Any animal treated for illness or injury is excluded from direct-to-consumer beef sales. Cattle are never confined in a feedlot. For direct-to-consumer sales, yearling steers go from pasture directly to USDA-certified processing facilities, bypassing feedlot and industrial production steps. The ranch also participates in conservation and environmental research as part of its core land stewardship principles.
