Common Ground Food Co-op

Common Ground Food Co-op defines local as within 100 miles and partners with local and regional farms and producers across Illinois and neighboring states. Its grocery department emphasizes organic, non-GMO, and sustainably certified goods. The produce department sources locally grown and organically certified fruits and vegetables. The meat department partners with local and regional family farmers for humanely raised meats. Named local producers include Kilgus Farmstead (dairy and meat), Triple S Farms (meat), Moore Family Farm (eggs and meat), Prairie Fruits Farm and Ropp Jersey Creamery (cheese), and Allison Centennial Farms (eggs). The co-op also stocks locally roasted coffee, local breads and flour from Janie's Mill and Brian Severson Farms, and beers from Champaign-Urbana area breweries. A Link Match program provides dollar-for-dollar voucher matches on fresh, local produce for shoppers using Link Cards.
