Family-owned farm growing heirloom, non-GMO produce with Mediterranean-inspired varietals.
Christine's Garden is a 100% family-owned, one-acre farm in Modesto, California, drawing on four generations of farming knowledge. The farm was started in 2010 by Darrell and his son John, and today is run by Darrell, Christine, their daughter Noelle, and Noelle's husband Alek. Christine's Garden specializes in Mediterranean-inspired, heirloom produce, including tomatoes, zucchini, beets, garlic, radishes, squash, and more. Vegetables and fruit are available individually or through a CSA box program, which delivers a weekly box of organically grown produce to subscribers. The farm sells at farmers markets and offers online ordering. Learn more on their About Page.
Christine's Garden grows all of its produce from heirloom seeds, many of which the family has saved for over 20 years. No pesticides or herbicides are used at any point in the growing process. The farm follows regenerative farming practices, including annual crop rotation to promote healthy soil, companion planting for pest management, and natural pest control alternatives when necessary. Only non-GMO seeds are planted. The farm focuses on unique, Mediterranean-inspired varietals not commonly found in stores.
