Carrell Farms, Inc. is a Monroe, Georgia farm that raises water buffalo, alpaca, llamas, camels, and sheep and sells their meat direct to customers. The farm operates outside the commodity structure of agriculture, focusing on what it calls "Unique Meats Raised Right." Its livestock are raised on a species-appropriate diet and lifestyle and are humanely harvested. Beyond meat cuts and ground, the farm also offers sausages, jerky, meat sticks, and a skincare line. Carrell Farms holistically and regeneratively manages its herds on a continuous forage chain of warm and cool season grasses, legumes, and forbs. When seasons or weather require it, grazing is supplemented with grass and/or legume hay. The farm never feeds grain or GMOs to its livestock, and raises them without hormones, antibiotics, or mRNA vaccines, making all of its meat 100% grassfed and finished. When animals are ready for harvest, they are transported to a USDA-inspected plant in South Carolina whose owner sits on the advisory board of Animal Welfare Approved, ensuring the animals are handled calmly and respectfully.
