Family-run Georgia farm stand growing strawberries, butterbeans, peas, and seasonal produce since 1982.
Calhoun Produce, Inc. is a family-owned agricultural business founded in 1982 by Gerald and Joyce Calhoun in Ashburn, Georgia. What began as a row crop farm has grown into a diversified operation now run alongside their son, Brad Calhoun, and daughter, Sheila Rice. The farm's signature crop is fresh-shelled butterbeans and peas, grown, shelled, and packed on site. In spring, a strawberry patch offers both u-pick and pre-picked options. Seasonal produce including onions, tomatoes, squash, and more rounds out the selection, sourced from the farm and from local producers. The farm also operates a deli, sells customized gift baskets and gift boxes, and runs a second market location in Cordele during the summer months. Learn more on their About Page.
Calhoun Produce grows, shells, and packs its butterbeans and peas on the farm. Seasonal produce beyond the farm's own crops is sourced from local producers. The business is a Georgia Farm Bureau-certified Farm Market and carries the Georgia Grown designation. Calhoun Produce is a founding member of the Georgia Agritourism Association, the Georgia Fruit and Vegetable Growers Association, the Georgia Strawberry Growers Association, and the North American Direct Farm Market Association.
