Nonprofit organic farm growing fruits, vegetables, eggs, and citrus to support cancer patients.
180 Degree Farm is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit farm in Sharpsburg, Georgia, operating under the mission of farming to fight cancer. It grows organic, seasonal fruits and vegetables, pasture-raised eggs, a wide variety of citrus, and cut flowers. The farm also runs a Food Fight Program, which gives newly diagnosed or actively treated cancer patients a weekly stipend to spend at the on-farm market. An Annual Donor Membership Program offers supporters a discount on market purchases. Learn more on their About Page.
180 Degree Farm raises and grows everything organically, without pesticides, herbicides, hormones, or GMOs. The farm uses regenerative soil methods designed to cycle nutrients, increase biodiversity, and sequester atmospheric carbon, keeping soils covered with grasses and legumes to feed soil microbes and retain moisture. Chicken eggs are pasture-raised and organic-fed with no corn or soy; the hens rotate frequently to fresh pasture and receive supplemental nutrition through dehydrated vegetables, including turmeric. The citrus program includes a broad range of varieties such as meyer lemons, yuzu, ruby red grapefruit, finger limes, and buddha's hand. Seasonal cut flower bouquets from the 180 Flower Farm are available in the market when in season.
