Wood Duck Farm is a family-owned, 87-acre farm in San Jacinto County, Texas, approximately 50 miles north of Houston. The property includes wetlands, small garden plots, greenhouses, a farmhouse with kitchen, and wooded tracts. The farm grows a wide variety of vegetables, herbs, and specialty greens, and offers a seasonal CSA program with weekly shares available in Full, Partial, and Little Bitty sizes. Pick-up locations are spread across the greater Houston metropolitan area. Wood Duck Farm also supplies custom-grown specialty greens to restaurants in Houston, Austin, and the Dallas Metroplex, and sells produce year-round at the Urban Harvest Farmers Market in Houston.
Wood Duck Farm grows most of its produce on-site in Cleveland, Texas. The farm uses natural fertilizers and fungicides, and applies only pesticides carrying OMRI (Organic Materials Review Institute) labels. When adverse weather or crop conditions require it, the farm may supplement CSA shares with locally sourced, sustainably grown produce from within 180 miles of the farm.
