Tropical Acres Farms, Inc.

Tropical Acres Farms, Inc. is a small, family-operated farm founded in July 2011 by Alexander Salazar and his wife Rebecca Principal-Salazar. The farm grows more than 330 mango cultivars, plus avocados, sapodillas, and mamey, and calls its collection the largest private mango collection in America. It operates on the historic Sturrock Groves property, where mangos have been grown since the 1920s. The original Duncan mango tree, bred and patented by horticulturalist David Sturrock, still produces fruit there. During mango season, a fruit stand offers retail and wholesale sales of hand-picked fruit. Off season, the farm sells grafted tropical fruit trees (over 300 mango, 40-plus avocado, and additional sapodilla and mamey varieties) by appointment and ships to most U.S. states.
