Pasture-raised meats and nutrition education from a family farm in the Red Fox Valley
The Grazing Goose is a sustainable family farm and market set in the Red Fox Valley, south of Indian Head, Saskatchewan. It raises grass-fed Dexter beef, grass-fed Texas Longhorn beef, heritage pork, and pasture-raised chicken, turkey, and goose. Beef is available in bulk shares (whole, half, quarter, and eighth) as well as by the box. The farm is operated by Sabrina Bovee, a farmer and registered dietitian, who also offers nutrition education and mindful eating retreats on the property. Visitors can book farm adventures and tours to meet the animals and learn about the food they raise. The Grazing Goose sells direct to families, giving customers the chance to visit the farm and know their farmer. Learn more on their About Page.
The Grazing Goose does not use chemicals on its pastures, garden, or orchard, and does not use growth hormones or antibiotics in feed. Animals are pasture-raised and free-range. Beef cattle include heritage breeds: Dexter and Texas Longhorn, both raised on grass. The farm actively plants trees, expands forested areas, and works to protect local wildlife and insects as part of its land stewardship approach.
