Good Earth Organic Farm is a 175-acre, family-owned and operated farm established in 1984 in northeast Texas. The farm offers fresh organic produce, 100% grass-fed pasture-raised lamb, and seasonal u-pick strawberries. Lamb is available in a wide range of cuts, including chops, roasts, shanks, ground lamb, and sausages, as well as whole lamb by pre-order. Hay (square and round bales) is also sold through the farm store. Orders can be placed online and picked up at the farm. Good Earth Organic Farm states that its plants, pastures, and livestock have never been treated with pesticides, herbicides, or other toxic chemicals. The lamb grazes on pastures free of pesticides, herbicides, and commercial fertilizers, with no GMO feed, grains, or hormones used. The farm uses a rotational grazing method, moving sheep to a fresh section of pasture each day to maximize nutrition, support natural fertilization, and allow pasture recovery. The farm also uses cover crops as part of its growing system, feeding the soil as a foundation of its organic approach. For processing, the farm uses a local, family-owned facility that is Animal Welfare Approved.
