Raw honey, beeswax candles, and hive products from a Northampton apiary
Red Barn Honey Company is a Northampton apiary producing raw, minimally processed honey and a range of hive-derived products. It offers two seasonal wildflower honey varieties: a light, floral Spring Wildflower and a deep, rich Summer Wildflower. Beyond jarred honey, the business produces comb honey (in limited supply), raw propolis, pure beeswax, and beeswax candles in several styles. Red Barn also sells package bees and nucleus colonies for beekeepers. Products are available at farmers markets, a curbside pickup option, and a growing number of retail stores and co-ops across Western Massachusetts. Learn more on their About Page.
Red Barn Honey Company uses an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) approach to controlling bee pests and diseases, without the use of chemicals or synthetic treatments. Its honey is described as raw, meaning it undergoes minimal processing and is not heated to high temperatures or pressure-filtered, in order to preserve natural enzymes and fragrance. The business places the health and management of its bee colonies as its first operational priority, framing strong colonies as central to producing high-quality honey. Raw propolis is scraped directly from hive frames and may contain wax, pollen, and other hive materials.
