Heritage Berkshire pork, grassfed beef, lamb, pastured poultry, and eggs raised on a Texas family farm.
Double-D Farm is a family-run farm in Williamson County, Texas, raising registered Berkshire pork, grassfed beef, grassfed lamb, pastured poultry, pastured eggs, and Wagyu/Akaushi beef. The farm began with backyard chickens, progressed through farmers market sourcing, and eventually grew into a full working farm focused on heritage breeds and naturally raised livestock. Products are available for purchase through the farm's online store for farm pickup, or in person at the Wolf Ranch Farmers Market in Georgetown. Some products are seasonal and availability varies throughout the year. The farm's stated focus is giving customers direct visibility into how their animals are raised and cared for. Learn more on their About Page.
Double-D Farm raises its animals without hormones or antibiotics. Pigs are registered Berkshires, farrowed and raised entirely on the farm; they roam pasture and are not confined. Sheep are Johnny Powell Dorpers and graze freely. Chickens are raised on a tractor-style rotation, moved to fresh pasture on a regular basis, giving them consistent access to new grass rather than living in a fixed enclosure. Wagyu and Akaushi beef is dry-aged for four weeks on the farm. The farm describes its approach as raising animals in a manner consistent with how animals behave in nature, prioritizing space, movement, and a natural diet across all species.
