Bois d'Arc Farm

Bois d'Arc Farm manages its land using a combination of regenerative, grass-fed, and organic principles. All cattle are raised on organic pasture and are completely grass-fed and grass-finished on biodiverse prairie, with a diet of mainly grass and forb species plus seasonal supplementation; feeder ruminants receive citrus pulp and canola meal. The farm practices daily rotational grazing, moving animals through different pastures to improve nutrient diversity, allow land recovery, and break parasite cycles naturally. No-till methods keep sequestered carbon in the soil. No hormones or feed antibiotics are administered; any animal requiring humane treatment with antibiotics is separated from the grass-fed and pastured herd and moved to the conventional market. The farm takes annual biological soil samples and documents plant species diversity as well as beneficial insect and bird populations to verify ongoing land health.
