Ranch-raised Black Angus beef, sold by the quarter, half, or whole cow from a fourth-generation Florida cattle family.
Barton Beef is a family-operated cattle ranch in Bunnell, Florida, founded in 2015 by Jill and Jeremy Barton. Jeremy's family has raised cattle in Florida for four generations, with roots going back to the 1800s. The ranch sells grass-fed Black Angus beef directly to families in shares: quarter, half, or whole cow, with buyers choosing their own cuts on half and whole orders. A 50 lb box of ground sirloin is also available. Pricing is $8 per pound of hanging carcass weight, with cutting, wrapping, labeling, and freezing included. Jill handles every order and question personally.
Every steer is born and raised on the ranch in Bunnell, never confined to a stall or small pen. The cattle graze thousands of acres of improved pastures and woodlands, eating native grass and supplemented with hay the Bartons bale themselves, salt minerals, and molasses. The ranch uses no antibiotics, no added hormones, and does not spray the grass with pesticides. The herd is made up of mixed breeds, all carrying some Brahman blood to adapt to the Florida climate, and all bred to purebred Black Angus bulls. Barton Beef also conducts prescribed burns to maintain the land and soil.
