Baker Bayou Farm Market is a family-owned farm on a 1,300-acre property that has been in the Baker family since the late 1960s. Owners Tina and Rusty Baker developed the land over decades, transitioning it toward regenerative agriculture and no-till practices. In 2020, Rusty partnered with Dr. Allan Williams of Understanding Ag to build a formal plan focused on soil health across every part of the farm. Animals were introduced to the property in late 2021. Day-to-day farm operations are now run by David and Kamryn Crawford. Baker Bayou Farm Market raises animals on pasture and practices no-till farming as part of a regenerative agriculture approach guided by the principles of holistic resource management. The farm commits to no antibiotics, hormones, or steroids, and operates without chemicals or GMOs. Its beef is grass-fed and its pork and chicken are pasture-raised.
