Overview

Multi-generational regenerative grain farm growing, milling, and packing whole grain flours, berries, legumes, and pantry staples.

Axten Farms is a four-generation family grain farm near Minton, Saskatchewan, founded with roots going back to Henry and Kate Axten. Today, Tannis and Derek Axten operate 10,000 acres growing specialty grains, legumes, and oilseeds. The farm grows, cleans, and mills its grains on-site in a HACCP food-grade facility, producing whole grain flours, whole grain berries ready to mill at home, and pantry staples. The flour lineup includes heritage and ancient varieties such as einkorn, khorasan, Red Fife, spelt, rye, and buckwheat, alongside a seven-variety spring wheat blend. Pantry staples include desi and black chickpeas, lentils, beans, and golden flax. Products are available for wholesale to bakers, chefs, brewers, and CPG producers, and are carried by grocers and specialty retailers across Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
